I’m pretty sure it’s been the longest week ever. I had grand plans of blogging every day this week, but when I’ve gotten 3 hours of sleep per night the last few nights, I have very little motivation to stay up in the evenings to blog. Paisley has been sick as a dog (ha, clever, right?) since Monday.

I can deal with her getting sick during the day (not that it’s pleasant) but the nights, oh my gosh, the nights. I’ve been having sleep issues for awhile now, and it’s always taken me a long time to fall asleep. She’s gotten up 5-6 times the last couple nights (fingers crossed she did better last night, since I’m writing this Wednesday evening) to go out, and I have a husband who sleeps through every.noise.imaginable so I’m the one up with her every time. This equates to very little rest for me. And it proves that I am in no way ready for a baby.

I’ve tried everything suggested, so assuming she’s not better this morning, we’ll be making a trip to the vet. I’ll probably end up spending entirely too much just to be told she ate something she shouldn’t have and I should give her bland food for a few days, but David suggested it ‘since she’s not getting any better’ (not that he’d know since he’s not the one taking care of her) so whatever. It’s a good thing she’s so dang cute and that I love her so stinking much. I’m just hoping I got at least 4 or 5 hours of sleep last night!
Hope you’re all having a good week. Update me on your lives since I’ve been slacking on reading blogs! {PS – How is it the last day of January already?!}
Oh no, i sure hope Paisley feels better and her mama gets some sleep! We have had a swing of spring weather and then winter weather, today our windchills are going to be near 30 degrees below zero! BRR! Happy Thursday.
ReplyDeleteOh yuck, what a major bummer! Sick doggies are hard on our hearts and our pocket books. I'm glad you're taking her to the vet though. Beast was sick a few months back and she actually had a minor infection. Some antibiotics and rest later, totally fine and worth every penny!
ReplyDeleteHoping your visit to the vet goes better than expected, and that super cute doggie of your feels well soon! Get some rest, friend! Or perhaps schedule a spa day (I'll come with!) ;) xo
I hope your puppy feels better soon. It's so sad when our animals get sick.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes that is pretty much what it's like to have a baby, down to the husband that can sleep through every noise! So consider this good practice.
My Pais sends your Pais love and hopes she feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteGod love her heart, hope she gets to feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteoh poor puppy baby! hope your baby is better soon!
