We had another crazy weekend! I am definitely dragging this morning, but we got a lot done and had a lot of fun, so it was totally worth it!
This weekend I… ended the week and kicked off the weekend with a good solo workout at the gym Friday evening. I went later than normal and there was hardly anyone there – It was great! {PS – Have you joined in on the plank challenge I posted about or entered the giveaway for a super cute workout top in this post?}

This weekend we… went out for a late dinner ‘date’ (of fast food, because our other options ended up being closed) and then met one of our favorite couples for some drinks at a local wine bar. They moved to Dallas after they got married in September, and we miss them lots!

{I was feeling super lazy after my workout, so messy bun and comfy outfit it was!}
This weekend I… started Saturday off with a workout – running 1.5 miles, climbing 100 floors on the stair machine, and legs and ab strength training. I am LOVING seeing so many people signing up/getting started with trainers at the gym! This is when people start giving up on their resolutions/goals, but you’re not going to this year because you know it’s worth all of the hard work and dedication, right?! :) {Can I just say I hate when regular gym-goers/fit people make comments about how they can’t wait until people give up and the gym is less crowded again? That’s so rude/discouraging to someone who’s already uncomfortable in a gym and such a contradiction to our hope for a healthier country. Sorry, end rant.}

This weekend we… spent most of Saturday afternoon finishing the display for my bouquet charms that we’ll use as a model when talking to local florists about partnering with my business/etsy shop. We met with a few of them Saturday and are continuing to call/set up meetings this week! I’m SO excited to be expanding my business and doing more locally – And of course I’m so grateful for the support and help of my incredible husband.

{It’s terribly hard to get a good picture of it, but it’s so cute!}
This weekend I… went to dinner with my momma Saturday evening (after hitting up the clearance racks at Old Navy – great deals!) while David went to dinner with one of his best friends. Turns out his best friend was asking him to be his best man in his wedding in September! I met up with them and another high school friend after dinner for celebratory martinis at one of our favorite local places. Such a fun evening, but we didn’t get home until almost midnight and had lots left to do to get ready for Sunday.
This weekend we… were up bright and early Sunday morning to go to David’s younger sister’s first club volleyball tournament. It’s fun being around the sport again, and I’m excited to see her team improve this season – We’ll be spending a lot of time at tournaments this spring!
This weekend we… went to our annual KU game with our brothers! We always give them tickets to a game as their Christmas presents, and it’s a great way to spend a day with them and enjoy one of all of our favorite things – Jayhawk basketball! We definitely didn’t play our best, but it was great to be home sweet home in Allen Fieldhouse again!
{How cute is he with his beard?! Love it!}
Hope you all had a great weekend! Happy Monday!

Sounds very productive! I started doing plans this weekend! Not following that one, one that builds up more because I'm weak.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun and busy weekend! I'm even more inspired by you since you continue your workouts on the weekends! I tend to be lazy on weekends with the hubby home.
ReplyDeleteI love how your displaying the charms! It looks perfect! Just wanted to let you know that you're part of my inspiration for getting into my workout routine again! You look great : )
ReplyDeleteI totally agree about those mean gym goers talking about 'the resolutionaries'. They all need to remember that they too had a start day at the gym. Those seem to be the same people who are the first to make comments about someone being overweight and needing to exercise!
ReplyDeleteYou are totally right about the gym comment...and I think I needed this reminder. I will admit I was a little annoyed at how crowded our gym parking lot was this past week...but I do remember what it's like to begin a new workout program and these folks need to be encouraged rather than discouraged!
ReplyDeletePlank challenge?! Giiirl, you are an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a glorious week, Laura!
