This Weekend I…

My blog was a little boring last week, but I’m hoping to get back to posting every day! We’ve had a lot of evening ‘stuff’ the last couple weeks and it’s been hard to find time to get a post scheduled, and then I say I’ll post in the morning, but I sit down at my desk and before I know it, it’s noon! Anyway, thanks for sticking with me, and be sure to enter my Datevitation giveaway if you haven’t already – It ends tonight!

 

This weekend we… had a banquet Thursday evening for David and all of the new CPAs who earned their license in 2012 in Wichita. It was fun seeing his old coworkers and managers and was a good excuse to get dressed up!

 

 

This weekend I… got to work out with both my mom and David on Friday! My mom’s getting more comfortable at the gym (and even went and started her workout without me!) and David’s down about 10 lbs so far! I love seeing their progress!

This weekend I… got a much needed haircut (really just a trim), got my nails done, and got a spray tan! There was a reason, but it was still fun to pamper myself a little and I felt – still feel – awesome after!

 

 

This weekend we… went on a date Friday evening and used another one of our giftcards from Christmas! We got one to Red Robin, somewhere we rarely eat, so it was fun to go someplace out of the norm! We debated going to see a movie afterward since we got passes for Christmas, but we ended up at home, in sweats and on the couch, watching a movie instead. It’s just so much more comfy that way!

 

 

This weekend I… had a Young Life training Saturday morning, so I had to squeeze in my workout before and it ended up being a lot shorter/less intense than normal for Saturday. That’s ok, though – Do what you can with the time you have!

 

 

This weekend I… had a special photoshoot Saturday afternoon for a certain someone’s Valentine’s Day present! (The reason for all of the pampering!) It was so fun and went SO well – I can’t wait to see the pictures! I did a boudoir shoot for his wedding gift and enjoyed it, but now that I’m confident and feel good about myself, it was a totally different experience! I HIGHLY recommend them – Not just for him, but for you! :)

This weekend we… spent Saturday evening doing our own thing! David went to a basketball game with some old coworkers and then hung out with the guys, and I went out for martinis with a couple girlfriends!

 

This weekend we… went to church Sunday and then rushed over to David’s sister’s volleyball tournament. Actually, he went to the tournament at 7 AM because he had to drop her off, but I stayed in our nice warm bed after only getting 5 and a half hours of sleep. We spent the majority of the afternoon there, aside from checking out some houses and a couple cars while we were on that side of time. We’re not quite ready for either (new house or car) but it’s fun to look and see what’s out there!

 

 

This weekend we… went to dinner with my parents Sunday evening, took Pais on a walk since the weather was so nice, and finished the weekend with catching up on work on our laptops on the couch.

 

Hope you all had a great weekend and are having a good Monday! Paisley’s gotten sick a good 4 or 5 times today, so happy Monday to me! Good thing I love her. ;)
