I know, I know, I say this every Monday, but oh my gosh this weekend flew by! This week we have Young Lives club/Red Shoe Society board meetings Tuesday, my birthday Wednesday, and a wedding to look forward to on Saturday, so I’m sure it’s going to be over before we know it, too. The time change didn’t help – I know it’s just an hour, but I can feel it!
This weekend I… started off the weekend with a run on Friday evening. I’ve got my first 5K of the year (the same one I ran for my very first race last year!) in 2 weeks, and I am DETERMINED to run it in under 30 minutes. I’m trying to get in as many sub-30 minute outdoor 5K runs as possible before then, and I was so excited with my time Friday even with it being windy and chilly!

This weekend I… picked David up from the airport when his flight got in around 10:30 PM. He hadn’t been traveling as much for work, so it was hard having him gone and getting back into that routine. We’d both had a long week (him working long hours for the client he was in LA for and me working long hours prepping for the bridal show) so we decided to grab a bottle of wine on the way home. We ran into some friends at the liquor store and ended up chatting/staying longer than we would’ve otherwise, and RIGHT as the 4 of us were walking out, there was a hit and run accident right in front of our eyes. David and I ended up following the (drunk) guy that ran and getting his license plate number, but he parked his truck a couple miles away and got out and ran, so I’m just praying they found him. Thankfully the girl he hit was ok, although she definitely had a concussion and was confused about where she was and her car was totaled. After that ‘excitement,’ we finally got home, cracked open the wine, and relaxed on the couch.

This weekend we… worked out together on Saturday because someone fiiiinally gave in and got a gym membership! I’m so excited we’ll be able to start going together.
This weekend we… spent the majority of Saturday afternoon and evening finishing up stuff for the bridal show and watching KU lose. I felt pretty prepared, but there was just a lot of last minute stuff I hadn’t thought of (and David was working on some of the technological stuff to make the day run smoother.) I finally checked to make sure I had everything one last time and headed to bed around 12:15 AM, which unfortunately was actually 1:15 AM with the time change.

This weekend we… were up early on Sunday and spent nearly 8 hours setting up for, running a booth at, and tearing down at the bridal show. I know, I have an awesome husband. He was SO helpful, such a good salesman, and made everything run so much more smoothly! It was seriously a great experience – We sold some products, met a ton of brides, had lots of people interested in my coordinating services, and got to know several local vendors better and made some new connections. I’m so thankful it went well!

This weekend we… had dinner with my family Sunday night, came home and crashed on the couch for an hour or so, and then got back to work. I’ve got lots of catching up to do after dedicating so much of my time to the bridal show the last few weeks, but I’m so excited for what’s in store. And David’s just always busy, ha. :)

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Looks like a great weekend!
